In September of 1996 Neil Sexton resigned his position as Senior Vice President of Direct Marketing at Successories, Inc. the Aurora, IL based, publicly traded (NASDAQ: SCES), motivational products company. With the company and its predecessors for ten years, Neil Sexton started inbound and outbound tele-sales and direct marketing organizations for not only Successories but also, Great Quotations and Golf Gifts Inc. Both companies were successfully "spun off" from the core that is now Successories and continue operations today.

Revenues at Successories increased from under 1 million to in excess of 56 million dollars during Neil Sexton's tenure. The direct marketing division which he founded in 1988 and which mailed it's first Successories catalog in 1991 reached revenues of 30 million dollars in 1996 including domestic and Canadian operations. Aggressive, targeted mailings, outbound tele-sales and an inbound call center specializing in upselling and customer care were the primary drivers of the explosive growth.

In addition to his direct marketing responsibilities, Neil Sexton was a member of the new product development committee for all of his time at Successories. Neil was also in charge of all web-based marketing. He was heavily involved in taking the company public in 1991 and worked closely with the retail division that grew from one store in 1991 to 100 stores in 1996. Synergizing of direct marketing, retail and e-commerce is an area Neil Sexton developed substantial experience in while at Successories.

Prior to joining Successories, Neil was with Sunrise Publications, the privately held greeting card and gift-company, based in his native Bloomington, IN (where he also attended Indiana University from 1976-1980 on an academic scholarship) for five years. Telemarketing, direct marketing and rapid growth were again characteristic of Neil Sexton's time at Sunrise. The telemarketing division that he launched at Sunrise was praised as the nation's fastest growing. Company revenues grew from under 1 million to in excess of 10 million dollars in his five years there and now exceeds 50 million dollars. Neil was placed in charge of hiring and training an outside sales force for Sunrise, an industry first for a company their size, and that sales organization continues today. (Note: Sunrise later became InterArt and sold to Hallmark in October of 1998).

Before Sunrise, Neil was in the cable television industry in sales and sales training capacities. Cable giant TCI was Neil's first cable employer and then he took an opportunity with Indianapolis Cablevision. During his nearly three years in the cable business, Neil developed his outside sales acumen and was honored as the outstanding sales agent for TCI at their annual meeting in 1980.

Neil Sexton has started several new enterprises since leaving Successories. "Colorado Card & Curiosity Co." (CCC) serves the retail card and gift market with niche product lines and leverages his Sunrise experience. In addition, "Sexton's Market", Neil's consultancy, has been advising clients on a variety of topics ranging from business to business cataloging to innovative tele-sales solutions to extrapolating direct marketing ideas to e-commerce. "Fresh Marketing Ideas" is the tagline for Sexton's Market and since September of 1996, Neil has successfully served dozens of clients ranging in scope from Fortune 500 to start ups. Beginning in 1993 Neil has served as a featured speaker at top direct marketing conferences in the U.S. and Australia. Neil launched "CorporateGreetings" a business-to-business, multi-channel direct marketing company providing corporate clients with everything to "Communicate, Motivate, Educate & Appreciate™". CorporateGreetings takes advantage of Neil's direct marketing and greeting card expertise and features heavy inbound and outbound tele-sales applications, cataloging and space advertising in addition to web based marketing methods. As of Jan. 1, 2002, Colorado Card & CorporateGreetings ceased operations falling prey to economic conditions. The assets of both companies were successfully sold and Neil remains in the promotional products business with his successful "ImprintCentral" distributorship.

In late 2001 Neil launched TeleGreet, a telephone & multi-channel marketing service bureau solely focused on business-to-business & business to government clients. TeleGreet specializes in account management/retention, new customer assimilation and customer reactivation. In addition, lead qualification; data gathering and data confirmation/appending are areas where TeleGreet has great experience and expertise. TeleGreet serves top companies in the direct marketing world and in other industries as well. Currently, TeleGreet, Inc, Sexton's Market, Ltd. and ImprintCentral keep Neil very happy and very busy taking care of super clients.

Neil Sexton resides in Trinidad, Colorado with his wife Audrey Forcier and their pet pug dog Curly.
